The Global Research and Training Centre for Internationally Designated Areas under the auspices of UNESCO (GCIDA) will hold its official opening ceremony on 29 April 2025.
GCIDA was established to support the sustainable management of Biosphere Reserves, World Natural Heritage sites, Global Geoparks, and Ramsar Wetlands through research, training, and collaboration.
As a global hub, GCIDA is committed to advancing capacity-building through research and training to support the effective management of Internationally Designated Areas.
