On 30 April, GCIDA held the Internationally Designated Areas Vision Forum,
bringing together experts to discuss ways to strengthen connections and improve management across natural World Heritage Sites, UNESCO Biosphere Reserves, UNESCO Global Geoparks, and Ramsar Sites.
⠀
A particular focus was given to Multiple Internationally Designated Areas (MIDAs), exploring common challenges and collaborative solutions for their harmonious management.
This provided a valuable opportunity to align policies, field practices, and community efforts.
⠀
Through this forum, GCIDA has deepened partnerships with relevant organisations both domestically and overseas,
supporting progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
⠀
GCIDA will continue to act as a practical platform for cooperation and action.
